The Baglietto 46m superyacht has been launched, marking the birth of the Italian yard’s Fast line.The aluminium planing yacht has been designed inside and out by Francesco Paszkowski Design. It has a dynamic profile, with a receding bow and strong stern, which typify the builder’s style. But trapezoidal ports, alternated with rectangular windows at two different levels, give the 46m Fast a more contemporary exterior look.
The latest Nordhavn launch is a familiar story, a repeat customer stepping up to a larger boat. In this case the owners are stepping up from an N56 to this lovely N76 which is hull 22 in that particular series. Their past boat, the N56 "Ata Marie" is presently for sale and the new boat is about to be handed over to them. According to the photos, the new N76 is called "Ivanhoe" and sports a gorgeous navy-blue hull.
Ivanhoe has a number of customized features onboard that the owners requested. Some of these included the installation of a Jacuzzi on the aft sundeck level, a deck extension to cover the aft maindeck cockpit from above which is essential as the owner will live aboard most times. Even on the interior there are custom features. The owners made sure there is a half-door installed on the lower cabin staircase for the grandchildren’s safety. A portable crib is also being kept on board for the babies!
With the owner’s plans for widespread sailing they will have some kayaks, snorkel and dive gear as well as the yacht’s very own inflatable water slide. The slide and the Jacuzzi will see intense use we could imagine. The interior is finished in Cherry and features a special five-cabin layout specially requested by the owner. Immediate cruising plans for Ivanhoe call for exploring the Bahamas and Exumas, then heading up the east coast in the summer. Long term plans will include an ocean crossing – which ocean remains to be seen. In a few years they will decide whether to head to Europe or to the South Pacific.
