Boot Dusseldorf 2018 starts 20.01.2018!

The Düsseldorf International Boat Show more commonly known as boot Düsseldorf or just boot is one of the world's premier boat shows.

With some 1,800 exhibitors from over 70 countries, boot Düsseldorf is considered a benchmark for the international boat and water sports industry.

The 1st Düsseldorf Boat Show was opened on 27 November 1969.

The Düsseldorf International Boat Show is tailored as a professional trade fair, showcasing state of the art developments in the yacht and entire water sports industry.
Next to sailing and motor yachts, diving is one of the most visited sections of the exhibition. The fact, it is located inland and at the heart of the
European megalopolis, distinguishes it from e.g. the Salone Nautico Internazionale at Genoa, Italy, which is of a comparable size but more of a boat show in the proper sense. As a long-time partner of Kiel Week and an industry knowledge base, boot and boot.de is also the largest German internet portal for water sports.

Every year, boot Düsseldorf sets the scene for the presentation of numerous new boats and yachts!
This year it will be held from 20.01.2018. till 28.01.2018.

The sailing boat show is set to present a first-class line-up at boat.

41 metre Kanga takes shape at CCN

41 metre Kanga is the first hull in its new K Series of explorer yachts at Italian yard Cerri Cantiere Navali.

Kanga is being built to RINA standards for an American owner who wants to cruise to both Poles. Internal fit-out began in December and is due to be completed before the end of the year and the partitions are now being fitted to the reinforced light ice class steel hull and the aluminium superstructure is in place.

Accommodation is for 12 guests in five staterooms, including an owner’s cabin, two double rooms and two twin rooms while the crew quarters can sleep up to 11 people and all of this is contained within a total interior volume of less than 500GT. Wooden wall panelling combines with geometric shapes to create a clean, modern aesthetic.

Kanga
also features naval architecture by Vannini-Oleggini Naval Design and a beam of nine metres  and Cerri Cantiere Navali has worked with Studio Sculli to customise the original design to suit the owner’s tastes.

Power will come from a pair of 1,450hp Caterpillar C32 ACERT diesel engines for a top speed of 16 knots. When trimmed back to her cruising speed of 10 knots, Kanga will have a globe-trotting maximum range of 5,400 nautical miles, thanks to her total fuel capacity of 65,000 litres.

Other superyacht projects currently under development at the Italian yard include the 49.9 metre Project Fuoriserie, the sixth hull in the 102 Flyingsport series and the 15th hull in the 86 Flyingsport series.
